Natural Ayurvedic Healing Incense has been custom blended to incorporate ancient knowledge of Vedic medicine and yogic knowledge of the energy that emanates through the chakras (energy centers of the body). The incense is hand-blended and rolled according to ancient Ayurvedic tradition. It is made from all pure, natural ingredients including herbs, woods, gums and essential oils. Ayurveda is the ancient "science of healthy life", originating in the Himalayas thousands of years ago. It teaches that harmony of body, mind, spirit, and our environment brings physical and mental health. In Ayurveda, certain flowers, woods, herbs, resins, and oils are recommended to bring about the balance of energy resulting in a healthy body and mind. Natural Ayurvedic Healing Incense has been made with great care to create incense that not only smells wonderful, but also emits the beneficial vibrations of the plant essence.

Chakra is a sanskrit word meaning wheel or vortex. We have seven main chakras (energy centers). Each chakra is connected to certain parts of the body, as well as with our mind and spiritual development. Chakras can be activated and balanced to create a life of harmony, health and spiritual awakening.

Natural Ayurvedic Healing Incense Sticks are masala (mixtures of herbs, gums, resins, woods, oils), or masala-charcoal. Used traditionally for aromatherapy or purification purposes, each fragrance has a unique formula. These incense sticks can be enjoyed even after years of storage. Handmade by Indian cottage industries with 150 years of tradition.

Absolutely no dipping! (90% of the incense on the market is made from blank sticks dipped in perfume compound. This dipping process is quick and cheap, and the fragrance starts to evaporate after six months.)

Our Indian incense supplier is a small family business. The profits from the business support a small Ayurvedic clinic established over 20 years ago. The clinic offers free treatment and medication to all people in the area.

==========

Anahata (Sanskrit: अनाहत, IAST: Anāhata, English: "unstruck") or heart chakra is symbolised by a circular flower with twelve green petals called the heartmind. Within it is a yantra of two intersecting triangles, forming a hexagram, symbolizing a union of the male and female. The seed mantra is Yam, the presiding deity is Ishana Rudra Shiva, and the Shakti is Kakini.

Anahata is related to the thymus, located in the chest. The thymus is an element of the immune system as well as being part of the endocrine system. It is the site of maturation of the T cells responsible for fending off disease and may be adversely affected by stress. Anahata is related to the colours green or pink. Key issues involving Anahata involve complex emotions, compassion, tenderness, unconditional love, equilibrium, rejection and well-being. Physically Anahata governs circulation, emotionally it governs unconditional love for the self and others, mentally it governs passion, and spiritually it governs devotion.

In Tibetan Buddhism, this centre is extremely important, as being the home of the indestructible red/white drop, which carries our consciousness to our next lives. It is described as being white, circular, with eight downward pointing petals, and the seed syllable Hum inside. During mantra recitation in the lower tantras, a flame is imagined inside of the heart, from which the mantra rings out. Within the higher tantras, this chakra is very important for realising the Clear Light.

Corresponding deity for material element of this chakra is Vāyu.
