Natural Ayurvedic Incense is custom blended to incorporate the ancient knowledge of Vedic medicine and yogic understanding of the energy flowing through the chakras (energy centers of the body). The incense is hand-blended and rolled using traditional Ayurvedic methods with pure herbs, woods, gums, and essential oils. Ayurveda is the ancient “science of healthy life” from the Himalayas, teaching that harmony of body, mind, spirit, and environment brings balance and well-being.
Chakra means “wheel” or “vortex” in Sanskrit. There are seven main chakras, each linked to specific parts of the body and aspects of mind and spirit. Balancing chakras promotes harmony, health, and spiritual awakening.
Natural Ayurvedic Incense Sticks are made by hand-rolling masala (a mixture of herbs, gums, resins, woods, and oils) onto bamboo sticks. This traditional method ensures long-lasting aroma without chemical dipping, which is common in many commercial incense sticks.
Our Indian incense supplier is a small family business whose profits support an Ayurvedic clinic offering free treatment and medicine to the local community for over 20 years.
About the Sahasrara (Crown) Chakra
Sahasrara (Sanskrit: सहस्रार, IAST: Sahasrāra, English: “thousand-petaled”) or Crown Chakra is generally regarded as the state of pure consciousness, transcending subject and object. When Kundalini energy rises to this chakra, it unites with Shiva’s masculine energy, attaining liberating samadhi—a state of spiritual liberation.
Symbolized by a lotus with a thousand multi-colored petals, Sahasrara is located at or above the crown of the head. It is represented by the color white and encompasses themes of inner wisdom, spiritual unity, and transcendence of the physical body.
Its physical correlate may be compared to the pituitary gland, which regulates hormones and links to the nervous system through the hypothalamus. The thalamus is considered central to consciousness itself, sometimes referenced in esoteric traditions as the ‘Bridal Chamber’.
Sahasrara governs the release of karma, meditation, universal consciousness, unity, and the state of pure being (“beingness”).
In Tibetan Buddhism, the crown is represented by a white circle with 33 downward-pointing petals. This chakra plays a key role in phowa, the practice of consciousness projection after death, aiding rebirth in a Pure Land. It contains the White Drop or Bodhicitta, representing the essence of masculine energy.
Corresponding deity for the material element of Sahasrara is Dhruva.
